The inhabitants of the ivory tower
Attention:
I have already exposed Pastor Chauvette’s greatest lies in the article: “Further Comments on the Lectures of Pastor Stephan Chauvette.” Therefore, I recommend you to read it before starting to read this article. I also recommend to read the article “Debata z wykładem pastora Stephana Chauvette’a” (Debate with a lecture by Pastor Stephan Chauvette) which is my first response to his arguments.
I have participated in many religious discussions, for several months I carried heated debates with Catholic apologists from a website called Trynitarianie, as well as many discussions with Jehovah’s Witnesses who knocked on my door in Montreal, but never and nowhere have I experienced such mockery, ridicule and disregard for my humble person as when I tried to engage in a discussion with Pastor Stephane Chauvette through his YouTube channel.
I even once criticized Billy Graham in a letter addressed to him. Graham read it, thanked me, and had his editors answer me. But there was no offensive remarks towards me in their letter, nor diparaging epithets, like in the emails I got from the members of the Montreal congregation called “New Beginnings Church” headed by this pastor.
Let me tell you what made me criticize Billy Graham. It was one of his speeches at a large stadium in a large American city, which I once watched on one of the Canadian television channels. I don’t remember the name of this city and the exact date, I guess it was around 1992. This famous preacher said then: “The whole world, everything in it, even life in a drop of water, was created by Jesus.” To support his point, he referred to the passage from the letter to Hebrews, which refers to Jesus and reads as follows: “You, O Lord, in the beginning laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.”
These words left me stunned. I couldn’t believe that such a popular, intelligent man would say such childishly naive things. So I wrote to him: “Respectable Mr. Graham, I am surprised that a man of your rank and position preaches things like that,” and I tried to justify it. Mr. Graham thanked me personally for the letter, but he did not write me back himself, he had his editorial staff do it. I don’t remember exactly the content of their response, there were some trivial lectures in it, even admonitions for me; in any case, it was more like a sermon than a substantive answer. So I came to the conclusion that there was no point in debating with them any more.
However, my correspondence with Pastor Chauvette’s staff was completely different. Last time I wrote to them:
“I’m sorry my debate with Pastor Chauvette was deleted here. I informed him via FB that I had commented on three of his lectures and had published my comments on my website, but he did not respond to me. He probably didn’t even bother to read them. He seems to like being flattered by his followers, but he doesn’t tolerate criticism of any kind. Follow him, people, and see where he will lead you. Good luck!”
I received three such “gems” for this:
Mr. Zedziak is a poor man with a very small intellect. His knowledge of history and religion is quite limited. His intelligence is questionable. Everyone around him knows that he is mentally challenged. On the other hand, our wonderful Pastor leads people to Jesus Christ, while Mr. Sedziak leads them to hell. Let’s all pray for poor Mr. Sedziak; he really needs all our prayers!!!!
By the way Mr. Jerry Sedziak, there was no debate between you and Pastor Chauvette. He does not even know you exist. Pastor Chauvette doesn’t waste time with people like you. And since you know that we will eventually delete your stupid messages, why don’t you stop posting them?
Pastor Chauvette has always been a shining example of a true man of God throughout all his years of preaching – highly intelligent and inspired by the Holy Spirit. Mr. Sedziak, since you’re a simple unbeliever, don’t waste your time posting messages about people who believe in Jesus. You need help – may the Lord bless you in Jesus name.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t even write my name and surname correctly. As for me, contrary to what they said, I am not a leader, I have no followers and I am not trying to win them over. But this is not the end of their offensive remarks and epithets towards me. Previously they wrote:
- Wow! So much anger and so much delusion. Poor Mr. Sedziak, you need help. We have been polite with you — we call you „Mr.” Sedziak, but you call our Pastor „Chauvette” — Really? What a pleasure it will be to „Delete” your stupidity from our platform!
My answer to it:
- “First of all, who are you, smart guys, hiding yourselves cowerdly behind the nicknames “@moriahpublicationsinc” and “@a.l.” ??? After reading your answers I remembered the saying: “Where there are no substantive arguments, personal attacks begin.” This is exactly what you are doing. And you are hiding yourselves in the bunkers. You have chickened out of debate and thrown grenades in my direction. You don’t have guts to come out and face me in an open debate. Can you guys do anything better than that ?! And don’t you lie to me that Mr. Chauvette doesn’t know me. He knows perfectly well who I am, because I contacted him through his Facebook page, asking him to read my comments on his lectures, but I got no response. You live in an alternative reality, where the words like ‘science’ or ‘history’ means almost nothing, and the Bible is a buffet from which you can pick the snacks that taste you well, ignoring those that don’t. And before you delete my message again, overcome this fear in you and give me your full names.”
Of course, this post did not appear, it was immediately deleted by them. But because they said that they were praying for me, were very concerned about my soul, I asked them, for the third or fourth time in a row, to introduce themselves. But they didn’t want to. They are still hiding in the bunker and throwing grenades at me. It makes me want to shout: Mr. Chauvette, please come out of your bunker and discuss with me like a gentleman!
The “New Beginnings Church” congregation is an “ivory tower” and its members are sectarians who have poor knowledge of the Bible, people resistant to historical knowledge, living in their own narrow world, staring at their pastor like at a holy image, who deliberately misleads them. Besides, they believe that anyone who leads people to a god other than Christ, leads them to hell. So stupid and narrow-minded thay are! Who should we pray for then ?! Judge for yourselves.
